What are the things that the imam does not bear on behalf of the ma'mum?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What are the things that the imam does not bear on behalf of the ma'mum?

The Shaykh : The things that the imam does not bear on behalf of the ma'mum are all that is obligatory in the prayer, whether it is a wajib, a pillar, or a recommended practice. The imam does not bear these on behalf of the ma'mum, except that the imam bears a few things on behalf of the ma'mum. For example, the first tashahhud, if the imam stands up from it out of forgetfulness, then the ma'mum is required to follow him in such a case. Or, if the ma'mum joins the imam in a four-rak'ah prayer in the second rak'ah, then in this case the imam bears the first tashahhud on his behalf, because the ma'mum will be in the third rak'ah of the imam. Also, the sutrah: the imam's sutrah is the sutrah for the ma'mum, as indicated by the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that he came to Mina while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying for his companions facing something other than a wall. Ibn 'Abbas was riding a female donkey, and he passed in front of some of the rows, and no one disapproved of that for him. Also, sujud al-sahw: if the ma'mum did not miss anything of the prayer, then the imam bears sujud al-sahw on his behalf. So, if the ma'mum forgot the tasbih of ruku' or the tasbih of sujud, sujud al-sahw would be required of him, but if he did not miss anything from the imam, then the imam bears it on his behalf, and it is not prescribed for the ma'mum to prostrate at that time.
Also, the recitation in the loud prayers: the imam bears on behalf of the ma'mum the recitation of what is in addition to Surat al-Fatihah, because the ma'mum is then commanded to listen to the recitation of his imam. As for the recitation of Surat al-Fatihah, the imam does not bear it on behalf of the ma'mum, neither in the quiet prayer nor in the loud prayer, according to the stronger opinion. Rather, the ma'mum must recite Surat al-Fatihah in both the quiet and the loud prayer, due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
There is no Salat for the one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab. لا صلاة لمن لم يقرأ بفاتحة الكتاب
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 247Sahih (Darussalam)
And Surat al-Fatihah is only dropped from the ma'mum if he catches the imam in ruku' only, due to the hadith of Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he arrived at the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in ruku', so he hurried and bowed before reaching the row, then he entered the row. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished his prayer, he said:
Who is it that did that? أيكم الذي فعل ذلك؟
So Abu Bakrah said: It was me, O Messenger of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
May Allah increase your eagerness! But do not do it again. زادك الله حرصاً ولا تعد
Sunan Abi Dawud 683Sahih (Al-Albani)
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not order him to make up the rak'ah in which he caught the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in ruku'. If he had left a pillar in it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have ordered him to make it up. And because this man who caught his imam in ruku' did not catch the place where Surat al-Fatihah is obligatory, which is standing. So, if he did not catch its place, it is dropped, because the recitation, I mean the recitation of Surat al-Fatihah, is obligatory while standing. So, if the standing, which is its place, is dropped, it is also dropped, just as the washing of the forearm is dropped for one whose arm is cut off at the elbow joint due to the absence of the place of the obligation. Yes.

The questioner : Also, the brother Abdullah asks and says.
