Ruling on the follower reciting al-Fatihah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is the ruling on the follower reciting al-Fatihah in the loud prayers?
I hold that it is obligatory for the follower to recite al-Fatihah in both the loud and quiet prayers, and it is not waived except for one who did not catch the standing in which he is able to recite it.For example: If he joins the imam while the imam is bowing, it is waived for him, or if he joins the imam when he is about to bow, he does not recite except a verse, and then the imam bows; in this case, it is waived for him.
As for one who was with the imam from the beginning of the prayer, he must recite it in both the quiet and loud prayers.

The questioner: Your Eminence, the imam does not leave time for recitation.

The Shaykh: If the imam does not leave time for recitation, recite while he is reciting, and there is no harm in that; because this is an exception.
