A father’s gift to his children during his lifetime is such that the male receives the share of two females

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 11087 )
Q1: I purchased a plot of land suitable for construction on an installment basis for my sons and daughters, dividing it equally among them. I have paid the down payment and will pay the remainder in installments, if Allah wills, as a gift from me to them. The question is: Must the children’s shares be such that the male receives the share of two females? Or is this rule limited to inheritance and does not extend to gifts made during one’s lifetime?
Vol. 1: If a person gives a gift to his children during his lifetime, it is obligatory for him to be just among them, giving the male the share of two females, as in the division by Allah the Exalted in inheritance, since a gift during one's life is one of the two states of giving, and due to the saying of 'Ata': (They did not divide it except according to the Book of Allah the Exalted). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
