A man bought a plot of land in the name of his family with the intention of deceiving the Land Authority; does his family have a share in that land?

Fatwa number ( 8480 )
Q: My father passed away in 1970 CE, and in 1974 CE I applied to the Land Authority to be granted a residential plot of land in my name. Since it was not possible to give me two plots in my name, I deceived them and submitted an application in the name of the late Iram Ibrahim’s (my father’s) family. Indeed, the grant of both plots was approved, and I paid the prescribed fees. What is the ruling
in Islamic law regarding the plot in the name of the late Iram Ibrahim’s family? Is it considered the property of the heirs, or is it considered my property? Please inform us; may Allah reward you.

A: First: You have done wrong in your deception, and you must repent to Allah for it. Second: The plot granted in the name of your father’s family belongs to them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
