The prayer behind one who does not recite well

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 5003 )
Q3: I live in a village in Egypt , and there is a large mosque in it. An imam has been appointed there who is affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf. This imam is not proficient in reciting the Qur'an, as I am a graduate of the Al-Azhar Institute of Qur'anic Recitation. What is the ruling on praying behind an imam who is followed by those who are better than him in memorization, delivery, recitation, and rules? Is it permissible for me in this case to pray alone?
A3: If the situation is as you described, your prayer behind him is valid, and it is not permissible for you to pray alone and leave the congregation for the reason you mentioned; because praying behind one who is less proficient in recitation than oneself is permissible, and performing the obligatory prayer in congregation is obligatory. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
