Ruling on the prayer of the individual in the presence of the congregation
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The tenth question of fatwa number 4325
Q10: Is the prayer of the individual sufficient without the congregation, given our knowledge that the congregation is obligatory?
A10: The congregational prayer is obligatory. If a person prays alone while the congregation is present and he is able to attend with them, he has committed a sin, but his prayer is valid; this is based on the scriptural evidence regarding this matter. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
