The Difference Between Congregational Prayer and Praying Alone
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 4009 )
Q4: What is the difference between praying in congregation and praying without a congregation?
A4: Whoever performs the obligatory prayer in congregation has fulfilled the obligatory duty and earned its reward, and his prayer is increased by five or twenty-seven degrees compared to if he had prayed it alone. Whoever prays it alone without an excuse has committed a sin, is deprived of the reward of the congregation, and deserves discretionary punishment. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
