Prostration before and after the closing salam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 5851 )
Q1: If one says the salam in prayer while missing a rak'ah or more, when is the prostration for forgetfulness: after the salam or before the salam? And likewise if one adds to the prayer?
A1: The prostration for forgetfulness is obligatory in every case of forgetfulness that would invalidate the prayer if done intentionally, and its place is before the salam; based on the hadith of Abu Sa'id and Abdullah ibn Buhaynah and others, except in the case of missing a rak'ah or more, or when the one who forgot builds his prayer on his predominant assumption, in which case it is after the salam; based on the hadith of Abu Hurayrah and 'Imran ibn Husayn which indicate that in the story of the man with the two hands, and the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud regarding building on the predominant assumption. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
