Q1: A man has money, and a lunar year has passed over it, but he has collected it in order to marry with it. Is zakah obligatory on it?
A1: Zakah is obligatory on it; because it falls under the general evidence indicating the obligation of zakah, and his intention to marry with it does not remove the obligation of zakah on it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
