Fasting the Day of 'Arafah with the intention of voluntary fasting while owing days from Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 2187 )
Q4: What is the ruling on one who fasts the Day of 'Arafah with the intention of voluntary fasting while owing days from Ramadan?
A4: If one fasts the Day of 'Arafah with the intention of voluntary fasting while owing days from Ramadan, his fast is valid. It is prescribed for him not to delay making up the missed days, because his life is in the hand of Allah and he does not know when his term will come. If he had fasted the Day of 'Arafah on behalf of some of the days of Ramadan, that would have been better than fasting it as a voluntary act, because the obligatory is prior to the voluntary, and it is more deserving of care. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
