Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A man went to perform 'Umrah with his mother and some of his sisters, and after the rituals of 'Umrah, while they were in Mina on the eighth day, this man met his death. This man met his death, meaning: he died. After that, the mother went with the rest of his sisters and they left Hajj. What is the ruling, and what is obligatory for her and for the rest of his sisters?

The Shaykh : If these women had stipulated at the time of entering ihram that “if I am prevented by a preventer, my place of exiting ihram is where I am prevented,” then there is no blame on them, because some people may not be able to bear completing Hajj while suffering from a calamity. However, if they did not stipulate this, then this is a predicament, a problem! It is obligatory for them now to consider themselves in a state of ihram until they go to Makkah and perform 'Umrah to exit from the state of Hajj, and they should perform Hajj next year, because they left Hajj before standing at 'Arafah, so their ihram becomes 'Umrah. Since the standing at 'Arafah was missed, their ihram becomes 'Umrah. Therefore, it is obligatory for them now to go to Makkah on the assumption that they are in a state of ihram, and to perform 'Umrah. And next year, it is obligatory for them to perform Hajj. This is if they did not stipulate it. If they did stipulate it, then the matter is broad, and nothing is required of them. Yes.
