The third question of Fatwa No. ( 5124 )
Q3: Is it permissible to bury the child of a disbeliever in Muslim cemeteries if a Muslim adopted him and then he died before reaching puberty?
A3: It is not permissible to bury a disbeliever in Muslim cemeteries, whether he was adopted by a Muslim or not, and whether he reached puberty or not. However, if there is something from him indicating his Islam, he is buried in Muslim cemeteries. It is known that adoption is forbidden in Islam; for Allah the Exalted said: And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
