Q: If a man has intercourse with his wife and the clothing and bed become soiled from the effects of intercourse, what is the ruling in that, and is it obligatory for the man to perform the full ritual bath after every act of intercourse?
A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions... After that: First: He must wash what has affected the clothing and bed from the effects of intercourse; because of the secretions of the private parts and their moistures mixed with the semen. Second: If the head of the man's penis enters the woman's private part, the full ritual bath becomes obligatory even if he does not ejaculate, and one full ritual bath suffices for two or more acts of intercourse; with one wife or more, based on what is established from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)Bulugh al-Maram 8:73 ) narrated by Muslim and the compilers of the Sunan,
and in a narration by Ahmad and al-Nasa'i:Sunan an-Nasa'i 263Sahih (Darussalam) . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
