The fifth question of the fatwa number ( 6522 )
Q5: Does the ghusl for janabah suffice for the ghusl of Jumu'ah and the ghusl for menstruation and post-natal bleeding?
A5: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: If a person is required to perform more than one ghusl, a single ghusl suffices for all of them, provided he intends by it to remove the causes requiring ghusl and intends to make permissible the prayer and the like, such as tawaf; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih al-Bukhari 1 . Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim; and because the purpose of the ghusl on the day of Jumu'ah is achieved by the ghusl for janabah if it occurs on that day. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
