A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: The questioner did not mention in his question that he feels semen coming out as a result of playing with his wife, but rather he mentioned that he finds moisture in his underwear. It appears, and Allah knows best, that what he found is pre-seminal fluid (madhi) and not semen. Pre-seminal fluid is ritually impure and necessitates washing the penis and the two private parts, and sprinkling water on whatever part of the garment it touches. It is obligatory for the person to perform the ritual ablution (wudu) after washing the penis and the two private parts. It does not invalidate the fast according to the correct opinion of the scholars of knowledge, and it does not necessitate a full ritual bath (ghusl). However, if what comes out is semen, then a full ritual bath is obligatory and it invalidates the fast. Semen is pure, but it is considered disgusting. It is prescribed to wash the spot on the garment or underwear that it touches. It is prescribed for the person fasting to be cautious with his fast by avoiding what arouses his desire, such as playfulness and the like.
