A man touching a woman directly

The first question of Fatwa number (1405)
Q 1: A person cannot do without giving and taking something from his wife throughout the day. So, if a person in a state of wudu touches his wife's hand, does his wudu become invalid?
A 1: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. After that: If a man touches a woman directly, there is a difference of opinion among the scholars as to whether his wudu becomes invalid or not. The stronger view is that it does not invalidate the wudu, whether he touches her with desire or without it. This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kissed some of his wives and did not perform wudu, and because this is a matter of widespread necessity. If it had been an invalidator, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have clarified it. As for the statement of the Exalted in Surat al-Nisa and Surat al-Ma'idah:[An-Nisa 4:43] the intended meaning is intercourse, according to the most correct of the scholars' views. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
