The fourth question of the fatwa number (11636)
Q 4: Does saying something precede the ablution, or is the intention sufficient? And is it recommended to recite the surah:[Al-Qadr 97:1] after the ablution?
A 4: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions... And after: It is prescribed to say the Basmalah before the ablution. The intention in the heart is sufficient, and it is not permissible to vocalize it; because that is a religious innovation. And it is not established, to our knowledge, to recite the surah:[Al-Qadr 97:1] after the ablution. Rather, what is prescribed after the ablution is to say: (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. O Allah, make me among those who repent, and make me among those who purify themselves). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q 4: Does saying something precede the ablution, or is the intention sufficient? And is it recommended to recite the surah:
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
