Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of fatwa number ( 8684 )
Q 2: The man who works with alcohol-based furniture varnish, in which a substance called "jamalaka" is dissolved, resulting in layers depositing on his palms that prevent the water of wudu' from reaching the skin . What is the ruling on this man's wudu'
and his prayer, and on praying behind him?
A 2: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: If the situation is as described, with a layer depositing on a part of what is obligatory to wash, preventing the water from reaching the skin, then his wudu' is not valid, nor is his prayer with this wudu', and one should not follow him in prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
