Q 1: Regarding the description of the mustache in Islam; for we have heard from some of the distinguished scholars that shaving the entire mustache is an innovation, and that it is imitating the hair. And Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) preferred in (Zad al-Ma'ad) that shaving the entire mustache is better than removing the excess from the lip. So which is better and the stronger position?
A 1: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after:
It is established in the two Sahihs, from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih al-Bukhari 5892 . And in (Sahih Muslim) from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: Sahih Muslim 258 , and in (Sahih Muslim) also from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 260 , and al-Tirmidhi narrated from the hadith of Zayd ibn Arqam he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2761Sahih (Darussalam) , and he said: The hadith is authentic. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short.
خالفوا المشركين؛ وفروا اللحى، وأحفوا الشواربA time limit has been prescribed for us for clipping the moustache, cutting the nails, plucking hair under the armpits, shaving the pubes, that it should not be neglected far more than forty nights.
وقت لنا في قص الشارب وتقليم الأظفار ونتف الإبط وحلق العانة: أن لا نترك أكثر من أربعين ليلةTrim closely the moustache, and grow beard, and thus act against the fire-worshippers.
جزوا الشوارب، وأرخوا اللحى؛ خالفوا المجوسWhoever does not take from his mustache, then he is not from us.
من لم يأخذ من شاربه فليس منا
