Q 2: My mother says that in the time of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, before the spread of knowledge, she put a tattoo on her lower lip. It was not a complete tattoo, but she put it in ignorance, not knowing whether it was forbidden or permissible? Today we heard that the one who tattoos is cursed. Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A 2: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions... And after: Tattooing is forbidden on the entire body, whether it is a complete tattoo or not. It is obligatory for your mother to remove that tattoo if no harm results, along with repentance and seeking forgiveness for what she did in the past. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
