Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The tenth question of Fatwa No. ( 2677 )
Q 10: Sometimes a person is beset by intrusive thoughts and worries during his prayer. What is the effective supplication by which he can drive away Satan
and his intrusive thoughts, with the permission of Allah?
A 10: The remedy: is to remember that you are in the presence of Allah, conversing with Him. This requires you to observe proper conduct by being present in heart and turning your attention to the One with whom you are conversing. Reflect on the meanings of the verses of the Qur'an you recite while standing, and on the greatness and majesty of Allah in your glorification during your bowing and prostration. Implore Allah, calling upon Him to ward off the schemes of Satan and to turn away the anxieties and intrusive thoughts from you during your prostration, for the servant is closest to his Lord when he is prostrating, as established in the authentic hadith. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
