Q5: There is a grave that rises above the ground by the amount of a shibr or more, but its edge is surrounded by a high wall. Is this grave considered contrary to the practice of the Sunnah, and is it permissible to visit such a grave or not?
A5: Building over graves is not permissible, for it is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)Sahih Muslim 970a It was narrated by Muslim in his Sahih from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him). From this, it is known that the aforementioned building must be removed, in accordance with this noble hadith. As for its lawful visitation, there is nothing wrong with it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
