Hurrying in the burial of the deceased

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 11088 )
Q: If part of the deceased's body is lost due to illness, burning, or being eaten
by an animal or otherwise, is it obligatory to wash the remainder? If a man dies and his son is in another country studying there, and the deceased is placed in the refrigerator for three days before his son arrives, and then he is buried, is this permissible? And if a person touches the body of the deceased, is he required to perform wudu or ghusl, or is nothing required of him?

A: First: whatever remains of the deceased's body is to be washed, shrouded, prayed over, and buried. Second: it is not permissible to delay the burial of the body in order to wait for one of the deceased's relatives, but if dire necessity calls for the delay, it is permissible, as in the case of a person who is killed and whose burial is delayed to verify who killed him. Third: merely touching the body of the deceased does not invalidate wudu and does not require ghusl, unless one touches the private parts without a barrier, in which case the wudu of the one who touched them is invalidated. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
