Ruling on a woman who gives birth via a C-section
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa number ( 8597 ) Q4: Some women experience difficulty in giving birth, necessitating delivery via a surgical operation. Sometimes, as a result of this, the child exits through a path other than the vagina. What is the ruling in the Shari'ah for such women regarding post-natal bleeding, and what is the ruling on their ritual bath?
A4: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. After that: Her ruling is the ruling of a woman in post-natal bleeding. If she sees blood, she must wait until she is purified. If she does not see blood, she fasts and prays like other women who are in a state of purity. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
