The ruling on saying “Be patient, for Allah is with the patient” to the imam while he is bowing
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of fatwa number ( 9127 )
Q2: Some people, when they enter the mosque and the imam is bowing, say to him: “Be patient, for Allah is with the patient.” Did this phrase come in a hadith, and is it obligatory to say it so that one catches up with the rak'ah? Please inform us, may Allah reward you a thousand times over?
A2: It is not permissible to say that phrase for such a purpose; because it did not come in a hadith, nor from the Salaf of the Ummah, as far as we know.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
