The clapping of men is from the practices of the people of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, as in His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He)[Al-Anfal 8:35] The scholars have explained al-muka' (clapping) as whistling, and al-tasdiyah (clapping) as clapping. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
