Bleeding during prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 7619 )
Q: On Saturday, the 20th of Rajab, 1404 AH, I had my molars extracted at the hospital in Amlaj . I was obligated to perform the obligatory prayers, so I performed wudu and went to pray. During the prayer, a heavy flow of blood began coming from the site of the extraction. After finishing the prayer, I spat out the blood from my mouth after each obligatory prayer: Asr, Maghrib, Isha, Fajr, and so on. What is the ruling on my prayer in that state? Do I have to repeat it or not?
Should it be repeated or not?

A: If the situation is as you described, your prayer is valid, and you do not have to repeat it; because what you mentioned is not considered excessive. However, you should, in the future, if this happens—may Allah prevent it—take a handkerchief or something similar with you during prayer to wipe up the blood that accumulates in your mouth as it comes, rather than letting it accumulate in your mouth and distract you from the prayer, or hinder you from recitation, glorification, and saying Allahu Akbar, and other such remembrances of the prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
