Blood coming from a woman in the state of ihram during tawaf

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 19748 )
Q: I went last year to perform the obligatory Hajj, and I had been using pills to prevent menstruation so that I could perform the rites of Hajj. We spent the first days in Mina and went to 'Arafah , then to Muzdalifah , but praise be to Allah, nothing happened. When we went to perform the tawaf of ifadah, I felt pain during the tawaf, as if it were menstrual pain. When I finished the tawaf and sa'y, I felt some moisture, and then I went to the restroom and saw a spot of blood. What is your opinion, may your eminence be respected? Is my Hajj complete, or what? Knowing that that day was the expected date of my period, but I was using pills to prevent it, as I told you before. I ask you, O honorable Shaykh, to issue a ruling for me: is there anything required of me, or
no? May Allah reward you a thousand times for me.

A: If you completed the tawaf and no blood came out of you, then your tawaf is valid and your sa'y is valid. But if some blood came out of you during the tawaf, you must repeat the tawaf by returning to Makkah and performing tawaf with the intention of the tawaf of ifadah, and performing sa'y after it. If intercourse occurred during this period, then in addition to doing what we mentioned, you must slaughter a sheep in Makkah that is acceptable as an 'Id sacrifice, and distribute it among the poor of the Haram . If you are unable to do so, you must fast for ten days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
