Rational Evidence and Transmitted Evidence

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 8803 )
Q: There are rational evidence and transmitted evidence for demonstrating and proving that
the Creator of the universe, humanity, and life is Allah. The question is: When is the evidence that the Creator is Allah considered rational evidence, and when is it considered transmitted evidence?

A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions... And to proceed: Rational evidence is: what the intellect perceives regarding the subject matter of the argument, such as arguing from the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the creation of ourselves, for the existence of the Creator (Glorified and Exalted is He), and that He is All-Knowing, All-Powerful, and Wise. Transmitted evidence is: textual evidence from the Book of Allah the Exalted, or the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), or the scholarly consensus of the people of knowledge. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
