Clarification that there is no contradiction between the transmitted proofs and the rational proofs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : To conclude, I urge students of knowledge to look into the transmitted proofs and the rational proofs, and I inform them that it is impossible for authentic transmitted proofs to contradict explicit rational proofs. By explicit, I mean those that contain no trace of doubt or suspicion, but are pure and clear. Every clear rational proof does not contradict authentic transmission. How excellent is the word said by the Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) in his famous book, for which no equivalent has been composed in its field, titled *Dra' Ta'arud al-'Aql wa al-Naql* (The Reconciliation of Reason and Revelation), in which his student Ibn al-Qayyim said:
"And he has a book on Reason and Revelation *** For which there is no second like it in existence"
Meaning in its field, he says: "I am committed to the fact that every proof used by one who argues for falsehood, I am committed to making that proof a proof against him, not for him." Glory be to Allah, the great power! Every proof used by a proponent of falsehood, I say I am ready to make that proof a proof against him, not for him. This is part of the ability to argue and understand. The reason for this is that the one who argues with a valid proof, despite the corruption of his argumentation, means that this proof is exposed to the falsehood he has adopted. And if it is exposed to the falsehood he has adopted, it cannot possibly indicate falsehood. Therefore, it must indicate what? It indicates the truth, the opposite of what he argued for. And whoever reflects on what the people of falsehood use to argue for their falsehood will find it, as the Shaykh al-Islam said, a proof against them, not for them. We stop here with the lesson, and we ask Allah the Exalted to make it beneficial and useful, and to make us and you guided, rightly guided, righteous, and reformers. As for the questions, if you see that we should continue, we will continue? We will continue.
