The first question of Fatwa number ( 7559 )
Q1: A disbeliever has embraced Islam. Does he utter the two testimonies of faith first, or perform wudu' (ablution) first?
A1 : He utters the two testimonies of faith first, then purifies himself for prayer, and it is prescribed for him
the ghusl (full ritual bath); because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered some of the Companions to do so when they embraced Islam. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
