Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of the fatwa numbered ( 2186 ):
Q5: If I am abroad, outside my country, and I want to send a picture of myself to my family and friends, especially to my wife, is this permissible for a person or not?
A5: The authentic hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) indicate the prohibition of image-making of living beings from among the children of Adam and others. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to take a picture of yourself and send it to your family or to your wife. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
