Q1: My father, may Allah guide him, earns his livelihood from photographs. I want to know whether this money that comes from this work is lawful or forbidden? And what is meant by the noble hadith: .
A1: Image-making of living beings is forbidden, and earning from it is forbidden. If one knows exactly what he earned from image-making, it is forbidden to benefit from it. If it is mixed with other things
and not distinguished, it is permissible to eat from it according to the stronger of the scholars' opinions. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
