Q3: What is the exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
[Such niches are] in mosques which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein; exalting Him within them in the morning and the eveningsفِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ

A3: The term "houses" in this verse refers to mosques. The prepositional phrase is connected to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
is litيُوقَدُ
, or to an omitted word that serves as a description of the lamp. The meaning is: Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is like a niche in which is a lamp; the lamp is in a glass [container], and the glass is like a shining star. It is lit from a blessed olive tree, neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil almost glows even if it is not touched by fire. Light upon Light. Allah guides to His Light whom He wills. And Allah presents parables for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things. In mosques where Allah has commanded that their construction be raised, their status be honored, and they be kept free from idle talk, vain speech, raising voices, and everything that is not befitting them. And He, the Exalted, commanded that His Name be remembered therein with the heart and tongue through the dhikr established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), particularly the prayers and the recitation of the Qur'an in the manner established with certainty from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), not in the manner of many of the leaders of the paths and their followers, who engage in dhikr that is religiously innovative in its wording or in the manner of its performance.
and the remembrance therein. They glorify Allah in these mosques and sanctify Him by praying in them, studying knowledge therein, reciting the Qur'an, and other prescribed dhikr, in the mornings and evenings, at the beginning and end of the day. These are men who have valued Allah as He deserves, so the preoccupations of this world, such as trade and selling, do not distract them from the remembrance of Allah with their hearts, tongues, and bodies, due to their watching over Allah, their consideration of consequences, and their fear of the terror of the Day of Resurrection, in which hearts and eyes will turn over, every nursing woman will be distracted from what she has nursed, every woman with child will give birth to her burden, and people will see as if they are intoxicated, but they are not intoxicated, but the punishment of Allah is severe. Then Allah, the Exalted, mentioned their reward with the best of what they did, and He completed their reward without calculation, as a fitting recompense for their sincerity to their Lord and their selling of themselves to their Benefactor, Allah, the Possessor of immense favor.
