Exegesis of Verses 30 and 31 of Surat al-Naml

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q7: What is the exegesis of the verse in Surat al-Naml:
(30) Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads: 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, (31) Be not haughty with me but come to me in submission [as Muslims].'
[An-Naml 27:30-31]
?

A7: Sulayman (peace be upon him) wrote a letter to Bilqis and her people and sent it with the hoopoe, ordering it to deliver it to them and see what they would do. When the hoopoe brought the letter to their land, it delivered it to Bilqis , and she read it. It contained:
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, (31) Be not haughty with me but come to me in submission [as Muslims].'
[An-Naml 27:30-31]
. When the significance of this letter became great in her eyes and its matter alarmed her, she gathered the nobles of her people and said to them: "Indeed, a letter has been delivered to me containing honor and dignity, and strength and high status and position." Then she informed them of who sent it, and followed that with what it contained, saying:
(30) Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads: 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, (31) Be not haughty with me but come to me in submission [as Muslims].'
[An-Naml 27:30-31]
, meaning: Do not be arrogant
over me, and do not be haughty, but come to me willing, submissive, affirming the oneness of Allah, and sincere to Him in religion. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
