Giving newspapers to the washer or the seller of bread or food

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 3407 ):
Q: I have many old newspapers left over after reading. Is it permissible to give the newspapers to the washer or the seller of bread or food to use for that purpose when necessary?
A: It is not permissible to give newspapers to the washer to wrap clothes in them, nor to the seller of bread or food to use them as wrapping for bread or food; because the common content of newspapers includes Islamic articles containing verses of the Qur'an and Prophetic hadiths, and many of the names of Allah the Exalted are written in them. Using them in the manner mentioned is a desecration of the verses of the Qur'an, the Prophetic hadiths, and the names of Allah the Exalted. Therefore, it is obligatory to preserve them, or burn them, or bury them in a pure place. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
