Reciting the Qur'an in prayer according to the recitation of Warsh
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of fatwa number ( 7339 ):
Q3: Is it permissible to recite the Qur'an in prayer according to the recitation of Warsh, given that we have been accustomed to reciting according to the recitation of Hafs from 'Asim ?
A3: Reciting according to the recitation of Warsh from Nafi' is valid and recognized in itself by the scholars of recitation, but reciting with it for one who is not accustomed to it, but is accustomed to another - such as reciting according to the recitation of Hafs for example - causes confusion in the hearts of the ma'mum (those praying behind the imam), so reciting with it is left off for that reason. However, if the one reciting with it is praying alone in his prayer, it is permissible; because there is no obstacle. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
