Entering the places of worship of the disbelievers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: What is the ruling on a Muslim entering a church , whether to attend their prayer or to listen to a lecture?
A2: It is not permissible for a Muslim to enter the places of worship of the disbelievers; because of the increase in their numbers, and because of what was narrated by al-Bayhaqi with a sound chain from 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: “... and do not enter upon the polytheists in their churches and places of worship, for the wrath descends upon them.” However, if it is for a legitimate Shari'ah interest, or to call them to Allah, or the like of that, then there is nothing wrong with it. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
