Mocking Those Who Wear Beards

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 5044 ):
Q: What is the ruling of the Shari'ah regarding one who mocks a Sunnah of the Sunnahs of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), such as one who mocks the beard or its owner; because he has a beard, he calls out to him in mockery: (O bearded one). We ask your eminence to kindly clarify the ruling on the one who says this.
A: Mocking the beard is a great evil. If the speaker intends mockery by saying: (O bearded one), that is disbelief. If he intends identification, it is not disbelief, but he should not call him by that name; because Allah
(Mighty and Majestic) said:
(65) And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" (66) Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon one faction of you - We will punish another faction because they were criminals.
[At-Tawbah 9:65-66]
the verse. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
