The Ruling on Mocking a Righteous Man

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is mocking a person who is committed to his religion disbelief?

Answer:
Mocking him is a great evil, but it does not become disbelief unless he mocks the religion. If he mocks the religion, such as the prayer, or the oneness of Allah, or the alms, Allah the Exalted said:
Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?"قلْ أَبِاللَّهِ وَآيَاتِهِ وَرَسُولِهِ كُنتُمْ تَسْتَهْزِئُونَ ۝
[At-Tawbah 9:65]
Do not make excuses to us; you have become disbelievers after you had believed [Surah al-Tawbah: 65-66]. As for mocking him in his walking, or his standing, or his sitting, this is an evil that is not permissible. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
