The correct ruqyah is that which is done with the Qur'an and the authentic supplications

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 7919 ):
Q1: There are supplications said to be against scorpions, and I have tried them and they worked. The text is: “O Allah, this is the determination of the scorpion, and the creature passed by the Jews and the Christians .” It was said: “And what—what—was it, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “A creature from the creatures of the Fire, its tail is like a saw, its neck is like a dinar. Jibril descended upon its blood, Jibril descended upon its venom. Allah made three gasps.” It was said: “Settle me in the might of Allah and write me in the Preserved Tablet.” What is the ruling on this? May Allah reward you with good.
A: The ruqyah mentioned is not valid. The valid one is that which is done with the Qur'an and the authentic supplications in the sound hadiths, such as the ruqyah of
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri for the disbeliever with Surat al-Fatihah. It is not permissible to use this ruqyah; rather, it is obligatory to abandon it and warn against it. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
