Questions four, five, six, and seven from Fatwa number ( 1727 ):
Q4: Can a wali (close friend of Allah) from among the awliya (close friends of Allah) assist someone from a distance, for example, a man in India while the wali resides in Saudi Arabia ? Is it possible for the Saudi to provide physical assistance to the Indian, given that the Saudi is in Saudi Arabia and the Indian is in India ?
A4: The living among the awliya (close friends of Allah) and others who are sought for help can assist within the limits of ordinary causes by providing money or intercession with a person in authority, for example, or by rescuing someone from a disliked situation, and the like of means that are within human capacity according to what is customary and known among them. As for what is beyond human power, such as extraordinary causes like the example mentioned by the questioner, that is not for the servants, but rather it belongs to Allah alone, who has no partner. He is the One capable of all things, and it is to Him that the cosmic laws proceed; He allows what He wills to proceed and prevents or breaks what He wills. For this reason, the call of truth is His, and to Him alone is the refuge, and from Him alone is the aid, without any other. For He alone is the One who encompassed all things with knowledge and encompassed all things with wisdom and mercy, and He dominated all things with His power and subjugation. There is no one who can prevent what He has given, nor one who can give what He has prevented, nor one who can turn back what He has decreed, and He is capable of all things. He the Exalted said:[Al-Ahqaf 46:5-6]
And He said:[Fatir 35:13-14] And He taught us in Surat al-Fatihah to say: [Al-Fatihah 1:5], as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us: not to ask except Allah and not to seek help except from Him, by his saying: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2516Hasan (Darussalam) The hadith.

(5) And who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allah those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware. (6) And when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship.
And He said:
That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed. (14) If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters].
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
When you ask, ask Allah, and when you seek aid, seek Allah's aid.
