Ruling on Reciting al-Fatihah After Supplication

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The eighth question of Fatwa No. ( 9572 ):
Q8: We have some customs after supplication where the imam recites Surat al-Fatihah, and the imam raises his hands along with the ma'mum (those praying behind him), and one of them recites Surat al-Fatihah. And at the conclusion, they say: Ameen, placing their hands on their faces?
A8: It is not prescribed to recite al-Fatihah after supplication; because that was not reported
from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), nor from the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and the good lies in following the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the guidance of his Caliphs. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
