Making the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a place one habitually visits

Fatwa number ( 9224 ):
Q: I work in the Noble Prophet's Mosque on temporary assignments, and my job is to stand in front of the barrier to prevent visitors from touching the Chamber or the barrier and seeking blessing from it. It has become my habit when I enter the mosque to pray the greeting of the mosque, then proceed to my post in front of the barrier. Before starting work, I greet the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his two companions (may Allah be pleased with them). A colleague told me that this is not permissible, and that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade making his
grave a festival, so it is not permissible for me to greet the Messenger and his companions daily. The question is: what is the ruling on what I am doing? May Allah guide you, reward you, and bless you.
A: It is not permissible to make the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a place one habitually visits daily, weekly, or monthly; because that is making it a festival. Abu Dawud narrated with a good chain whose narrators are trustworthy, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 2042Sahih (Al-Albani) , and other evidence has been transmitted that supports this. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.

لا تجعلوا بيوتكم قبورًا، ولا تجعلوا قبري عيدًا، وصلوا علي فإن صلاتكم تبلغني حيث كنتم
