How to Increase Faith
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 10561 ):
Q2: Faith increases and decreases. If you are among those whose faith has decreased and whose heart has hardened, how can I increase my faith and soften my heart and humble my limbs amidst the struggle of this world and its temptations in this time? May Allah reward you with the best reward for your detailed guidance.
A2: Indeed, faith increases through obedience to Allah and decreases through disobedience to Him. So, maintain what Allah has made obligatory, such as performing the prayers at their times in congregation in the mosques, and paying zakah with a willing heart, as it is a purification for you from sins
and a mercy for the poor and the needy. Keep the company of people of good and righteousness so that they may be a support for you in applying the Shari'ah and guide you to what brings happiness in this world and the Hereafter. Avoid the company of people of innovation and sin so that they do not lead you into trial and weaken your resolve for good in you. Increase in performing voluntary good deeds, and turn to Allah and ask Him for success. If you do this, Allah will increase you in faith, you will attain what you have missed of what is right, and Allah will increase you in excellence in worship and steadfastness on the path of Islam. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
