The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7753 ):
Q2: What is the ruling on removing sandals when greeting in the noble Shari'ah? Some scholars permit this and cite as evidence the saying of Allah the Exalted in Surat Ta-Ha:. Is this correct?
A2: It is not permissible to adopt removing sandals when greeting as a Sunnah or a religious prescription. The practice of removing sandals in the Shari'ah of Musa (peace be upon him) was abrogated by the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who commanded us to pray wearing our sandals. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
