Placing belongings on the graves of the righteous out of fear of theft

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 6639 ):
Q7: Some people place their trusts and belongings on the graves of the righteous, believing that they will guard them so that they are not stolen, looted, or taken.
Volume 7 : The belief that the dead guard what is placed on
Believing that the dead guard what is placed on their graves as trusts is open disbelief and shirk (associating partners with Allah) in lordship, which necessitates eternal abode in the Fire for one who dies upon it. Placing trusts or other belongings on graves for preservation or seeking blessing is not permissible. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
