A discussion on the status of Hajj in the Islamic religion.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows:
This is the monthly meeting that takes place in this large congregational mosque in the city of Unayzah once a month, unless something prevents it. And tonight is the fifth of the month of Dhul-Qa'dah, 1419 AH. We are in the middle of the months of Hajj, because the months of Hajj are three: Shawwal, Dhul-Qa'dah, and Dhul-Hijjah. So we are in the middle of the three months, which Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has honored. Therefore, I thought it appropriate to speak about Hajj and what is related to it. So we say:
First: The status of Hajj in the Islamic religion.
Second: The ruling on Hajj.
Third: When was Hajj made obligatory?
As for the status of Hajj in the Islamic religion, it is one of the pillars of Islam, by the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
Islam is based upon five: the testimony of La Ilaha Illallah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the establishment of the Salat, giving the Zakat, fasting (the month of) Ramadan, and performing Hajj to the House. بني الإسلام على خمس : شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمداً رسول الله، وإقام الصلاة ، وإيتاء الزكاة ، وصوم رمضان ، وحج بيت الله الحرام
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2609Sahih (Darussalam)
. So its status in Islam is a high one. It is one of its pillars and its great foundations.
