The ruling on one who denies the hadith of intercession
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 6747 ):
Q1: What is the ruling in Islam regarding a man who denies the hadith of intercession narrated by al-Bukhari in his Sahih, and who also says: that in [Sahih al-Bukhari ] there are fabricated hadiths?
A1: [Sahih al-Bukhari ] was accepted by the scholars of the Ummah, so its hadiths are relied upon to establish rulings and serve as proof against the opponent. Whoever says that it contains fabricated hadiths is an ignorant, mistaken person who contradicts the consensus of the Ummah. Likewise, whoever denies the great hadith of intercession or the other hadiths of intercession narrated by al-Bukhari in his Sahih and by other imams of hadith — he contradicts the people of the Sunnah and the community and the Salaf of the Ummah, following the path of the people of deviation and misguidance. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
