A Muslim does not deny the intercession of the Messenger

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Do the Wahhabis deny the intercession of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A: It is not hidden from any person of sound mind who has studied the biography of the Imam, Shaykh Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab, and his followers that they are free from this claim; for the Imam (may Allah have mercy on him) affirmed in his writings, especially in the book *Tawhid* and *Kashf al-Shubuhat*, the intercession of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) for his Ummah on the Day of Resurrection. From this, it is known that the Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) and his followers do not deny his intercession (peace and blessings be upon him), nor the intercession of the other prophets, the angels, the believers, and the *afrat* (those who go to extremes), but rather they affirm it, just as Allah and His Messenger affirmed it. Our righteous Salaf followed this path, acting upon the evidence from the Book and the Sunnah.
With this, it becomes clear to you that what is attributed to the Shaykh and his followers regarding the denial of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) intercession is the most false of falsehoods, and a deviation from the path of Allah and a lie against those who call to it. The Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) and his followers only denied seeking intercession from the dead and the like, but intercession does not occur except after Allah grants permission to the intercessor and is pleased with the one for whom intercession is sought, as He the Exalted said:
Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission?
[al-Baqarah: 255], and He the Exalted said:
And how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] to whom He wills and approves.
[al-Najm: 26], and He the Exalted said regarding the angels:
and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves. And they, from fear of Him, are apprehensive.
[al-Anbiya: 28]. He the Exalted is not pleased with anything but tawhid (the oneness of Allah), as for the mushrikin (those who associate partners with Allah), they have no share in intercession, as He the Exalted said:
So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors.
[al-Muddaththir: 48], and He the Exalted said:
For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed.
[Ghafir: 18].
So we ask Allah for success for us and for you in what pleases Him, and for well-being and safety from everything that angers Him. And Allah is the One who grants success.
